Amazing Breaker from Dekovir and Big Way is an ice-smashing arcade-style game on PlayStation 4. The game has three different level packs to play. The Original Pack includes 120 levels, while Level Pack 1 and Level Pack 2 will each have 100 levels to offer. Within each pack, levels will be split into stages, with 20 levels per set. If you do things right, you can get up to a three-star rating for a level based on your performance. To complete a level, you must destroy at least 90% of the ice structure on the screen.
You’ll do this by aiming with the left analog stick to mark where you’ll send the item on your slingshot, to then shoot it out with the X button. This includes a spike bomb that will explode a few seconds after it sticks to a spot on the level, a split bomb you can launch and then split into three bombs by pressing the X button again, a ghost bomb that will go through the ice, and which you can guide once shot, or a helicopter bomb that can deploy purple crystal bombs as you press the X button, before exploding once it comes to a halt. If you want to switch between the currently loaded bomb and the next one on the line, then press the Triangle button.
Trophy-wise, this one has a full list split into 16 Bronze trophies, 6 Silver trophies, and 7 Gold trophies, and that means you can also get a new Platinum trophy for your collection. The objectives to complete include completing 5, 10, and 30 levels in one go, end the same level 10 times in a row, starting a chain reaction with 10, 20, and 25 exploding mines, blowing up 100, 250, 1,000, and 5,000 bombs in total, scoring 50, 100, and 200 stars in a single level pack, or spending 3 and 10 hours playing the game.
If you’re looking for an arcade-style experience with a challenge that won’t feel overwhelming, then Amazing Breaker is a good option. Instead of destroying barriers as you’d do for a brick-breaking type of experience, you’ll have to make good use of the bomb types for each level so that you can set up chain reactions that can make every single part of each design go boom. On top of that, it has a Platinum trophy for trophy hunters to aim for, but it’s not a fast one to Platinum since you have to complete every single level and get a three-star rating on all of them. Amazing Breaker is out on PlayStation 4 with a $7.99 price.
