LIT: Bend the Light from OverGamez and Copperglass is a physically accurate puzzle game on Nintendo Switch. Your objective will be to use the beam of light under your control to have it reach the star that will open up and glow brightly once it has absorbed enough light. Some levels will have more than one solution, and if you want to 100% this one, you’ll have to find all potential solutions for each stage! The light will bounce around surfaces, and it will be affected by some elements that will change how the light behaves.
The first handful of levels in LIT: Bend the Light will allow you to get the hang of things as you learn all of the basics. The game is easy to control since you’ll move each element in a puzzle with the left analog stick, changing between each selection with the right analog stick. You can rotate objects with the ZL and ZR buttons in order to reflect the beam of light just right. You can slow down movement and rotation by pressing and holding down the X button.
As you progress through each set of stages, the game will introduce new elements to keep the experience feeling fresh. You’ll go from bouncing light off the walls to using angled surfaces, mirrors that reflect the light in a specific way, or glass that will refract the light. Sure, it sounds easy enough, but when there are six mirrors hanging from the ceiling, or you have to use 12 pieces of glass to refract the light so that it reaches two stars, you’ll sometimes be left scratching your head as you try to find the right angle for that 3rd solution to the puzzle that you can’t seem to find. And who knows, you might even run into some solutions that the team didn’t think of!
LIT: Bend the Light is a clever puzzle game on Nintendo Switch where you’ll manipulate a light source and different elements in each to find the right way to do things. The game offers a lot of replay value for those of you who like to 100% their games. Most stages have more than one solution, so finding all of them will keep you busy for a while. There’s also the fact that each level will let you know how many bounces the light had before landing on the star, how fast you were at solving the puzzle, and how many objects you used, so you can certainly replay levels to try and lower your overall time. LIT: Bend the Light is out on Nintendo Switch with an $8.00 price tag.
