Blow & Fly from eastasiasoft and Khud0 is a 2D physics-based puzzle game in which you’ll take control of a blowfish who must jump into the toilet. They previously gave us minimalist 2D Metroidvania Grizzland on PlayStation 4, so this is definitely a very different experience. Why are you trying to desperately land in the toilet? Because your owner’s son has destroyed your aquarium, so you’re desperately looking for any water you can find, which is why jumping into the toilet does not sound like that bad of a deal.
The controls are simple to understand. As you take on the 70 levels that Blow & Fly has to offer, you’ll roll around your fish with the left analog stick or the D-Pad while jumping with the X button by blowing out some water from your fish’s mouth to propel it forward. If you want to get a quick preview of where your fish will go when you jump, you can just press the Circle or Square buttons to review the trajectory it will take. Remember that your fish won’t be able to jump again until it touches the ground, and some later stages will require you to jump as soon as you land on a slope so that you don’t fall to your death.
The trophy list for Blow & Fly is a short one with 4 Silver trophies and 10 Gold trophies, but it does have a Platinum trophy. On top of this, the game is a Cross-Buy release, so if you own a PlayStation 5 console, you can download both the PS4 and PS5 versions and work on unlocking the Platinum trophy for each one. The trophies will pop as you complete levels 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 from Aquarium I, and levels 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 from Aquarium II. Once you’ve taken care of that, you’ll have new shiny Platinum in your collection!
Blow & Fly is a fun physics-based puzzle game on PlayStation that gives you 70 levels to take on with an increasing difficulty curve and new puzzle elements that keep things feeling fresh. Blow & Fly is available as a Cross-Buy title with a budget price of only $4.99, giving you access to both the PS4 version and the PS5 version of the game, each one with its own trophy guide.
