Rayland from eastasiasoft and Naoka Games is a puzzler in which you’ll manipulate structures to reflect lasers. The inhabitants of Rayland use the energy from the Domus to survive, and they transport this energy by using structures known as Reflectus. Can you help the inhabitants of Rayland to transport the energy? The game offers over 40 levels to complete, and it has a solid difficulty curve, so you don’t feel overwhelmed. Once you’re tasked with intersecting beams to change their vectors, things will really get interesting!
You’ll move a cursor around the screen with the left analog stick or the D-Pad to select structures with the X button to move them to another spot to better reflect the laser. If you press the Circle button while the cursor is on top of a structure, you’ll be able to rotate it. To get a better view of things, you can zoom in and out as needed by pressing up or down on the right analog stick. You can also move the right analog stick left or right to rotate the level if you need to change your perspective.
Rayland has a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy, and since it’s a Cross-Buy release, you’ll get both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 versions of the game. The list is a short one since it has only Gold trophies – eleven of them – but at least none of them are missable! To get the Platinum, you’ll have to complete 30 of the levels in Rayland, with trophies popping when you complete levels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, and 30.
Rayland is a simple but fun puzzle game in which you’ll redirect lasers to help the people of Rayland to transport the energy they so desperately need. Rayland is a Cross-Buy title, so by buying this budget title at only $4.99, you’ll gain access to both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 versions of the game.
