Mrs. Cat Between Worlds from Ratalaika Games and EVEV01 brings us two platforming games in a single package. Learn more in our Mrs. Cat Between Worlds review!

Mrs. Cat Between Worlds from Ratalaika Games and EVEV01 brings us two platforming games in a single package. You’ll be able to play Mrs. Cat in Mars and Mrs. Cat in Neptune. Both games share most of their gameplay mechanics and overall loop, but each one has a specific element to consider that will make things feel different when you platform your way toward the exit. Each game will have 50 games for you to take on.

Mrs. Cat Between Worlds Review - 1

For Mrs. Cat in Mars, you’ll notice that hazards will flash out of the screen a second after you start a level. Since all levels are of the single-screen variety, you’ll have to pay attention as you start a level to see where hazards are so that you can remember and avoid them. You can also collect orange vials that will instantly reveal all hazards for a couple of seconds so that you can plan accordingly and make it to the exit.

Since the main gameplay mechanic shared between both games is the whole platforming part of the equation, you’ll control your cat with the left analog stick or the D-Pad, jumping with the X button as needed. In Mrs. Cat in Neptune, your feline friend will also be able to wall jump as needed. On top of that, it will also get a very useful dash ability that can be activated with the Circle button. And yes, it can also be used while up in the air!

As for the hazards to avoid, along with the always classic extra sharp spikes, you’ll also run into blocks that fall the second you step below them, spinning buzzsaws that move back and forth over a set path, platforms that will explode as soon as you touch them, or deadly lasers. The good news is that there are also some contraptions to help you on your journey. There are portals that are connected and will send your cat flying onward on its set trajectory after entering one and exiting through the other, or pads that will launch the cat upwards at high speed.

And now, let’s talk about the trophies! The game has a short trophy list with 11 Gold trophies, which means that this one has a Platinum trophy as well! And since it’s a Cross-Buy title, if you have a PlayStation 5 console, you can work on adding two Platinum trophies to your collection since each version has its own trophy list. As for what you’ll need to do, you must collect an orange fire stone, a reveal potion, and beat levels 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 in Mrs. Cat in Mars, as well as get a blue fire stone and complete levels 3, 5, and 9 in Mrs. Cat in Neptune. If you want to speed things up, you can check out this Mrs. Cat Between Worlds Trophy Guide.

Mrs. Cat Between Worlds brings us two platforming games in a single package. Since each game has 50 levels to offer, you’re getting 100 stages of single-screen platforming at a low price.
