FUR Squadron from Dolores Entertainment and Raptor Claw is an on-rails space arcade shooter with a minimalist polygonal look. Yes, this is a game that has certainly been inspired by the Star Fox series, from the way the action is presented with chunky polygons that pay homage to the franchise’s start to featuring an anthropomorphic cast of characters who will be piloting the spaceships used to try and save everyone from the actions of the evil Skal Empire.

Your FUR Squadron will include Blaze Mustela, the brave leader of the group. He’s joined by sarcastic ace pilot Kiro Nax, as well as the brilliant and cheerful engineer Axel Mex. The game’s colorful neon-infused presentation is complemented by a synthwave soundtrack that helps to punctuate the on-screen action. You’ll be taking on six levels with three levels of difficulty as you work on improving your skills to take on the increasing challenge as you go. It’s definitely something that has a 1990s feel to it.

Since this is an on-rails shooter, you’ll be focusing on piloting your spaceship with the left analog stick as you avoid enemies and their attacks and line up your own attacks while firing with the X button. Once you collect some missiles, you’ll be able to launch them by using the Square button. Pressing the R1 button will make your ship perform a barrel roll, which will make it invincible for a short period of time. Oh, and don’t forget to press and hold down the X button so that you can charge up a more powerful attack lock-on! This will be useful when taking on the boss at the end of each stage.

And now, let’s talk about the trophies! The game has a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy for you to work on. The list is split into 13 Bronze trophies, 3 Silver trophies, and 8 Gold trophies for you to unlock. There are trophies tied to completing each of the game’s levels, as well as for completing them by reaching a specific score. This is done by defeating all enemies without being damaged so that you can keep your score multiplier going. There are also trophies for completing each level in the Kiro and Axel difficulty settings. If you need some extra help, you can check out this FUR Squadron Trophy Guide.
