Alive Paint from eastasiasoft and Khud0 is an all-ages coloring book with images that animate once fully colored. The game offers you a palette of 20 different colors, and you’ll need to use them to color the different images that the game has to offer. You won’t be using your cursor to brush away at each image, mixing colors here and there. What you will do is click on a color and then click on either the background of the image or a section of the image to instantly color that entire par in one go.
Because of this, the first thing you need to do before you start to color a single image is go into the settings menu and slow down the speed of your cursor. The default speed is a bit too much, and you won’t be able to get the cursor to stop on the smaller sections of an image without some frustration. Once you’ve slowed down the cursor’s speed, you’ll be able to choose the shade of color that you want to use for each picture. If you have an issue finding what part of the image can be colored in, you can press the hint button to make one spot flash.
The game features a full trophy list for you to work on as you aim to add a new Platinum trophy to your collection. And since this is a Cross-Buy title, if you have a PlayStation 5 console, you can get both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game with your purchase, and each version will have a separate trophy list. Each of these lists includes a single Silver trophy and 11 Gold trophies. The objectives to complete include adding color to both the background and the UI frame of any picture, using a hint 10 times, manually clicking on the pause menu to stop a completed image’s animation, changing the cursor’s color 20 times in 10 seconds, fully coloring in the main menu, letting the game choose a random image for you and then completing it, completing all images, and unlocking and completing the last level in the game. If you need some extra help, you can check out this Alive Paint Trophy Guide.
Alive Paint is an all-ages coloring book with images that animate once fully colored. That’s all there is to it. As you move a cursor around the screen, you’ll select from the available palette of colors to add them to each image before it’s completely colored in and it comes to life. Alive Paint is available as a Cross-Buy title, so your $4.99 purchase will allow you to download both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game at no extra cost.
