nGolf from RedDeerGames is a casual arcade-style mini-golf experience on Nintendo Switch. Learn more about it in our nGolf review!

nGolf from RedDeerGames is a casual arcade-style mini-golf experience on Nintendo Switch. It’s a minimalist take on the sport in which you’ll explore themed worlds with simple courses where, as expected, you need to get the ball from point A to point B. Each world will be split into small mini-golf courses that the game calls platforms, which you will aim to complete under Par while also trying to collect all of the stars along the way.

Because of this, the controls are going to be simple and to the point. You’ll aim your shot by using the left analog stick or the D-Pad, as you also set the strength you’ll use to hit the ball. Press the A button, and that will confirm your shot. Things will start off easy enough, with nothing for you to worry about except getting the ball to the hole. You’ll soon start to notice new elements thrown into the mix, such as spikes that will destroy your ball, conveyor belts that will either aid or hinder you, portals that will teleport your ball to the other end, or tornados that will keep you from reaching the hole.

nGolf is a casual arcade-style mini-golf experience on Nintendo Switch. You’ll start with a series of straightforward courses – which the game refers to as platforms – that will not pose much of a problem, but you’ll soon start to run into some obstacles and hazards that will have you change your strategy, especially if you want to 100% the game by collecting all stars and getting the ball into each hole under Par. nGolf is available on Nintendo Switch with a $21.99 price tag, which, yes, is certainly a bit steep for this type of game. But if you act fast, you can get the game with a considerable discount at only $3.99, which is more in line with the experience you get on Nintendo’s console.
