Turret Rampage from eastasiasoft and Khud0 is an arcade-style shooter with tower defense elements. The world is in danger, and subterranean forces are destroying everything on their path. You’ll need to command the last standing turret to shoot at anything that moves so that you can mount one final stand. The game features seven short levels to take on, as well as an endless level at the end where you can try to play for as long as possible to boost your overall score.

Turret Rampage Review - 1

The controls are very simple, since you’ll control your turret with the left analog stick as you turn it left or right to be able to aim and shoot at the different enemy types moving toward the center of the screen. At first, you only have to worry about using the X button to shoot at the biped enemies. You’ll soon run into what looks like sphere clusters, which you’ll have to defeat by shooting at them with the shackles, which can be done by pressing the Square or Circle buttons. Another enemy you’ll run into is one that sorta looks like an anchor. That one needs to be shot twice with your regular attack.

Next up will be ethereal beings that need to first be shot with the shackles to materialize and transform them so that you can then use your regular attack to defeat them. The next enemy type will be a tiny one that you need to bring out with the earthquake ability, which is triggered by pressing the Triangle button. The last enemy type is a fluffy one you’ll first need to shoot with your regular attack so that you can then use the shackles. If an enemy reaches the center, you will take damage, but at least a special attack will be unleashed, which will get rid of all enemies on that side of the screen.

Turret Rampage Review - 3

Trophy-wise, this one has a full trophy list for you to work on. On top of that, it’s a Cross-Buy title, so if you own a PlayStation 5, you can download the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game, and each one will have a Platinum trophy waiting for you. Each list has a single Silver trophy and 11 Gold trophies for you to work on, which shouldn’t be that difficult to achieve. If you need some extra help, you can check out our Turret Rampage Trophy Guide.

Turret Rampage Review - 4

Turret Rampage is an arcade-style shooter with tower defense elements. As subterranean entities invade, you’ll have to take over the last remaining turret to shoot at them during one last stand. You’ll have two different ammo types to use, as well as a special ability that will make all enemies stop for a second while also revealing a specific enemy type. It’s a bite-sized game with 7 stages and an endless stage to take on. And since it’s a Cross-Buy title, you can download both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game and work on each of their Platinum trophies.
