Nyanzou & Kumakichi Bomb Cave Review
Nyanzou & Kumakichi Bomb Cave from Alignment Sharp is a minimalist puzzler in which you must escape a cave before it goes boom. The short way of describing this one is to think of Minesweeper but set in a cave. Your task as Nyanzou will be to break down the walls as you try to avoid bombs and find the treasure you so desperately need. Why are you going into the cave? Because you’re deep in debt! As long as you pay attention and use logic and deduction, you should be good to go.

You’ll have to pay attention to the different numbers that will be presented on the floor of the cave. These numbers will let you know the number of bombs around you. Keep track of this, and you’ll hopefully manage to reach the treasure in the cave. If you make a mistake and run into a bomb, you’ll lose a life. Lose all lives, and your run will be over! You’ll be sent back to the surface so that you can learn from your mistakes and give it another go.

Outside of the cave, Kumakichi will build a store where you’ll be able to sell the treasure for some money to pay your debt. You can also use the money to buy blacksmithing tools, increase the number of items, expand the elevator to go deeper into the cave, and buy some extra land. Find a strawberry, and you can sell it for 50 coins. Locate a star-type cushion, and you can get 75 coins for your efforts.

Nyanzou & Kumakichi Bomb Cave Review - 4

Nyanzou & Kumakichi Bomb Cave is a minimalist puzzler in which you must escape a cave before it goes boom. The easy way to describe it is if you were to take on a treasure-hunting Minesweeper adventure in which you sell the treasure you find to fund upgrades to the store so that you can keep the cycle going and find a way to go deeper and deeper in the cave. Nyanzou & Kumakichi Bomb Cave is out on Nintendo Switch with a $9.80 asking price.
