In action RPG Elrentaros Wanderings from Red Art Games and HAKAMA, you’ll also form deep connections with those around you. The game takes place in and around the titular town of Elrentaros, an area that is far from the Melvanian capital. Your journey will take you to visit this area, and you decide to stay and help the locals as you complete a series of quests… until something unexpected occurs. What happens? A weird light engulfs you and transports you to another realm! It’s up to you to make sense of what is going on as you get the hang of things. It’s one of those games in which you’ll spend time in a fantasy world and in what you could call the real world.

The first step in this new adventure will be to choose between a male or female character. Once that’s settled, you’ll start to meet the different characters you’ll interact with during this journey. During your first go with Elranteros Wanderings, you’ll be introduced to Lisa, Hajime, and Hikari, with one of them standing out since she’ll act as if she has no idea who you are. That’s odd… right? After the intro story cutscene, you’ll decide to go and collect some medicinal herbs.

 

A specific spot is suggested for this: Cave Pick. As expected, this area will be the tutorial segment to teach you the basics. The thing is, you’ll actually be going on a rescue mission to try to find a local by the name of Romero who has gone missing! Cave Pick is a Lost Dungeon, which is a dungeon that has been around since ancient times. There are also Arc Dungeons that have emerged in recent years. You won’t be able to enter an Arc Dungeon unless you find its entrance, but nobody seems to know where they are. It’s a treacherous path since monsters can attack at any turn.

You’ll need to know that you won’t be able to enter a dungeon at night, so you’ll need to rest until the next morning. You should talk to the locals to learn valuable information, start to grow potential relationships, and even purchase some useful items to equip for your adventures into the different dungeons. You could buy an Ironclad Belt to lower the damage received from melee attacks or a Scrap Spear to increase your damage output as you perform a 4-hit combo. When interacting with other characters, you’ll be able to offer your assistance as needed and even have a chance to offer gifts.

Once you venture into a dungeon, you’ll be taking on some top-down action as you try to defeat monsters and stay alive as you search for items and treasures. You’ll be able to take on dungeon challenges, and you’ll need to give it your all and explore the dungeon until you manage to defeat the boss. Will you be able to make it? You’ll have a set number of revives in case you’re defeated, but once those are gone, you’ll be forced to quit and will fail the challenge. You can check the challenge level before taking on one so that you have a better idea of what you’re getting into.

You’ll take control of your character with the left analog stick or the D-Pad. The Y button can be pressed and held down to perform a 3-7 hit combo depending on the weapon type you have equipped and its rarity. An evade roll will allow you to quickly dodge in any direction to avoid incoming damage by pressing the B button. Magic items can aid you on your adventure, either by helping you heal your wounds or deal considerable damage to enemies, depending on what you’ve added to your build. These will be mapped to the L and R buttons.

When you clear a dungeon, you might also find some seeds. You can use seeds to plant them in fields on the outskirts of town so that you can work on growing crops. Your crops will grow as time passes, and you’ll eventually be able to harvest them. Doing this will reward you with some Melcoins. Melcoins are important since you’ll be able to spend them and exchange them for gifts that you’ll be able to give to the locals to improve your relationship with them.
