Tiny Pixels Vol. 1 – Ninpo Blast from eastasiasoft is a roguelite bullet bell journey inspired by classic arcade and console shoot ‘em ups. It’s one of the vertical variety, in which you’ll be riding a fast hoverbike as you attack enemies with shurikens, bombs, and more. As you use your spread and focus attacks, you’ll always need to be on high alert so that you can avoid enemies and their attacks. There are 6 bosses in total for you to battle – once you unlock 3 additional bosses for your runs.

Oh, and you should definitely collect as many gears as possible so that you can use them to purchase upgrades – more on these in a bit. There’s going to be a lot of trial and error during your time with Tiny Pixels Vol. 1 – Ninpo Blast since you won’t know what the game will throw at you for each wave since it randomizes the content. As long as you collect enough gears during each run, you’ll slowly but surely be making some progress.

Once you get started, you’ll get to pilot your hoverbike by using the left analog stick or the D-Pad. Your spread attack is mapped to the X button. The focused attack will be set to the Square button. And if you want to attack all enemies in one go… then all you need to do is press the Triangle button! This will allow you to slash with your trusty katana. Think of it as a bomb-type of attack.

As mentioned before, gears will act as the in-game currency you’ll be able to use to upgrade your weapons, as well as to unlock new backgrounds, new hoverbikes, boost score multipliers, and magnet power – so that you can more easily attract gears -, add extra bosses for each run, increase your health, boost katana recharge so that you can use your melee more often, and even increase the invincibility window for when you’re damaged.

Trophy-wise, this one is from eastasiasoft, which means we’re getting a Cross-Buy title with a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy for you to try to add to your collection. The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of Tiny Pixels Vol. 1 – Ninpo Blast will have separate trophy lists, and each one will be split into 4 Bronze trophies, 9 Silver trophies, and 8 Gold trophies for you to work on unlocking.

The objectives to complete include purchasing an upgrade, purchasing all upgrades in one category, fully upgrading both main weapons, destroying 10 enemies by crashing into them, collecting 30 gears in a single run, unlocking a new background, destroying 5 enemies with a single katana slash, reaching a high score of 5,000+ points, and destroying 250, 500, and 1,000 enemies, to name some examples.

Tiny Pixels Vol. 1 – Ninpo Blast is a bullet bell journey inspired by classic arcade and console shoot ‘em ups. It’s one of the vertical variety, in which you’ll be riding a fast hoverbike as you attack enemies with shurikens, bombs, and more.
