Cattie from eastasiasoft and Vergiu is a minimalist monochromatic 2D platformer starring a feline character. It’s a simple and to-the-point experience in which all you need to worry about is getting from point A to point B of a level as you try to stay alive so that you can reach the door that will take you to the next level. There are 59 stages in total for you to work your way through, with a difficulty that increases at a steady pace.

Cattie Review - 1

Levels will start simple enough, with only a few enemies to defeat or avoid. You’ll soon find the always classic sharp spikes. Snakes will then be introduced. You’ll then find yourself using springs to complete some trickier segments. There will also be moving platforms, disappearing platforms, spinning buzzsaws, giant bats that chase you, huge mushrooms that shoot at you, deadly skeletons out to get you, and even robots!

You’ll control the small kitten by using the left analog stick or the D-Pad as you jump with the X button. The longer you press and hold down the button, the higher the jump will be. You’ll also be able to wall jump as needed. You can claw at enemies on the ground or in mid-air by pressing the Square button… and that’s it!

Trophy-wise, this one is from RatalaikaGames, which means we’re getting a Cross-Buy release with a pair of Platinum trophies waiting for you – as long as you own a PlayStation 5 console! The trophy list includes one Silver trophy and 11 Gold trophies for you to work on. It’s a very straightforward list, with trophies popping at a steady pace as you complete all 50 levels that the game has to offer.
