Ship’s Cat from Australian indie dev Daniel Caddy is a short budget game in which you will be taking control of a feline responsible for pest control on a passenger ship. You will therefore need to work on making sure that the mice don’t end up bothering the guests. You’ll need to start by showing that you know what you’re doing before you’re allowed into the pool deck and beyond, but that’s not going to be a problem, right?

 

With the game taking place from a 3D perspective, you’ll be taking control of your character by using the left analog stick as you move the right analog stick to control the camera as needed. Jump by pressing the Square button and attack the mice you find by pressing the X button. The X button will also be used for interacting, so that you can, for instance, open up doors and vents. You can charge by pressing the L1 button, and you can perform a ground pound by pressing the R1 button.

 

This game, unfortunately, does not have a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy, which does feel weird for a game released on PlayStation 5 in 2026. The available list is split into 3 Bronze trophies, 5 Silver trophies, and a single Gold trophy for you to work on. What will you need to do in order to 100% this release? You will need to stop the fire in the ship’s funnel, make the cat dance, find the hidden elevator behind the Crispy Croissant, survive the first attack of the mice, get past the crew blocking access to the kitchen, turn off all the machines in the engine room, get past all the radioactive rats in the shopping mall, restore power to the ship, and complete the game.
