Go! Go! Mister Chickums from com8com1 and Headup is an arcade-style single-screen experience on Nintendo Switch. You’ll be taking on the role of the titular Moster Chickum and will spring into action after Grabbo has stolen all of your eggs. There’s a timer for you to keep in mind, so you’ll need to act fast and collect all eggs before you’re out of time. The game can be played on your own, or you can have someone else join in and play as Fritz, your BFF.

As you can tell from the trailer and screens in this Go! Go! Mister Chickums review, Go! Go! Mister Chickums is a game that has been inspired by classic arcade games from the 1980s. There are 100 levels to take on, as you find the best route to take, so that you can rescue all eggs as quickly as possible.

 

After the very short intro cutscene, you’ll be taking control of Mister Chickums, jumping by pressing the B button, so that you can try to reach all the eggs around you. When you do grab an egg, you’ll have the option of aiming with the left analog stick and throwing it by pressing the A button. This can be done to defeat an enemy that is in your way, or to throw the egg into the nest. Carrying an egg will make you move slowly, and it will also reduce how high you can jump.

This release includes a section with a set of challenges for you to work on during your time with the game. These include, for example, starting a single-player game, starting a co-op game with Mister Chuckums and Fritz, collecting 100 coins, gathering 250 items of any kind, defeating 60 enemies, eating 50 delicious snacks, opening your first treasure chest, spelling a word by collecting all its letters in one world, defeating 8 enemies while being invincible, and collecting and nesting every egg in a level in their specific sequence, to name some examples.
