The Confinement from QUByte Interactive and Mr. Dev Studio is a first-person, fast-paced, precision platformer on Nintendo Switch. The game will require you to run as fast as possible as you jump and dash your way toward the exit door. Your skills will be tested at all times as you aim to not only reach the exit of each of the 30+ levels the game will throw at you, but also do this as quickly as possible. As you run, jump, and dash left, right, and all around, you’ll need to pay attention to your overall momentum, the placement of platforms, the movement pattern of platforms, as well as the different hazards that you’ll need to work on avoiding.

 

The game is played from a first-person perspective, but you’ll be able to take control of your character by using the left analog stick or the D-Pad. You can jump with the B button, and you can dash forward by pressing the ZR button. You can also quickly dash left or right by pressing the L and R buttons, respectively. Slide by pressing the X button. The right analog stick can be used to move the camera around you as needed.

This release features an in-game achievement system for you to work on as you aim to 100% it. It’s a very straightforward list since you’ll unlock achievements as you complete each of the levels that the game will throw at you… that is, as long as you do this as quickly as possible and get a three-star rating for each level. But if you really want to 100% the game, then you’ll also need to replay levels as you search for the mysterious dark cubes that have been hidden here and there. As a heads-up… you should always look behind you before you start running forward! The Confinement is out on Nintendo Switch with a $9.99 price tag.
