Pyramid Quest Junior from EntwicklerX is a colorful arcade-style platformer on Nintendo Switch. Your objective? To explore a pyramid and locate the three pieces of an ancient artifact that will open the door, so that you can continue to explore deeper and deeper into the mythical pyramid. You must do this while avoiding traps, jumping over obstacles, and keeping an eye out for the enemies that could put a stop to your plans. There are 30 levels for you to take on, with a difficulty curve that does not feel overwhelming.

 

Once your adventure begins, you’ll be taking control of your character by using the left analog stick or the D-Pad as you jump with the B button. Your jumps can be longer if you hold down the B button. Since there are enemies to consider, you might want to use your sword against them. That way, you’ll be able to defend yourself by throwing the sword by pressing the A button. Unlike other games in the Pyramid Quest series, swords in Pyramid Quest Junior are not limited, so you can pretty much take on every single enemy that you run into with great ease.

If you want to 100% the game, then you’ll need to defeat all enemies and activate any switches that you run into, since that way you’ll be able to collect every single coin and gem in a level while grabbing the three artifact pieces. This will net you a three-star rating for the level that you’ve just completed.
