Ore Klast from Webnetic is a minimalist game in which you’ll work on collecting minerals by destroying asteroids. Check out our Ore Klast review!

Ore Klast from Webnetic is a minimalist game in which you’ll be working on collecting minerals by destroying asteroids. Every asteroid that you destroy will leave behind a different mineral type, which will include Iron (Fe), copper (Cu), and uranium (U). There’s really no risk in this adventure in outer space, since your ship won’t be damaged by the asteroids even if you collide with them.

The controls are simple and to the point. You’ll be able to use either the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con or the console’s touchscreen when you’re playing in Portable or Tabletop Mode, or if you’re playing Ore Klast on a Nintendo Switch Lite console. The touchscreen controls are easy since you’ll just need to tap where you want the ship to move as you collect minerals.

If you’re using the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con, then you’ll be moving a cursor around the screen by using the left analog stick to point where your ship should fly to. Your ship will attack automatically. Just approach the minerals from the asteroids you destroy in order to collect them. You need to keep an eye on your fuel since it determines for how long you can collect minerals. Once it runs out, you’ll be able to use the minerals you have collected to purchase upgrades. Just sell the minerals to get credits, and then use the credits to purchase upgrades.

What are the upgrades that you can get with your hard-earned credits? Some of the options include increasing the laser frequency of your weapon so that your ship’s speed increases, boosting the beam damage and asteroid drops, adding an auto turret to help you shoot at the asteroids, adding a boost to the speed at which the ship travels, or increasing the collection radius so that minerals can be grabbed from further away. As you purchase some of these upgrades, they will open up new upgrade options for you to pick from.

There’s really no risk in this adventure in outer space, since your ship won’t be damaged by the asteroids even if you collide with them. This does mean that all that you’ll be aiming for is collecting enough minerals to unlock all upgrades in what almost ends up feeling like an idle-type game once you have enough auto turrets. Ore Klast is out on Nintendo Switch with a budget price of only $4.99.
