[PS3 Review] Order Up!!
July 9, 2012 | Ceidz | 4 CommentsHave you always wanted to be a world-renowned chef, but opted for another career instead? You can finally make your wish come true with Order Up!!. In this cooking game created by SuperVillain Games, you’re playing as an ambitious chef who’s starting at the bottom of the ladder in a shack serving hamburgers and fries, who makes his or her own way up to own a world-renowned restaurant.
Order Up!! has been out since 2008 on the Wii. The PlayStation 3 version (available on both the PSN and as a regular game disc) is an enhanced port of the Wii version and has a few new features: a local multiplayer mode, a new restaurant, and even 3D support!
Are You a Trophy Hunter?
July 3, 2012 | Ceidz | 21 CommentsI was reading some news on the internet right after last E3, when I stumbled on a very interesting post over at IGN about PSN Trophies. For those who can’t remember, PSN Trophies arrived in 2008 and introduced achievement-like unlocks for PS3 and PSN games. The post at the link made me realize that a few gamers — including me — have changed the way they play games ever since they appeared!
[PS3] Tales of Graces f Review
May 16, 2012 | Ceidz | 5 CommentsNamco Bandai’s Tales of Graces f is an HD-port of Tales of Graces, a Wii game that was released back in 2009. It features essentially the same game content with upgraded visuals, plus a complete extension (f in the game title refers to Future) called “Lineage and Legaciesâ€.
I have to admit that I haven’t played a lot of Tales of games prior to this one; the only other I played is Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube a few years ago, and I wasn’t really a fan of the series back then. However, after a few hours in this really cool Action-JRPG, I was really impressed by how fun this game is!
[PS3 Review] Final Fantasy XIII-2
March 22, 2012 | Ceidz | 8 CommentsTwo years ago, many gamers were deceived by the long-awaited Final Fantasy XIII. While not being singularly bad, it did not meet gamers’ high expectations for having a below-average story, and for being way too linear. I agree with those points: I initially stopped playing the game at around 2/3rd through. I finally managed to complete the game a few months later when a friend told me the end was worth seeing.
Now, back in January 2011, a sequel was announced: Final Fantasy XIII-2. Is this game any better than the original FFXIII ? Without hesitation, YES, this game is WAY better than the first one!
Some Guy Reached The Current PlayStation Trophy Limit!
September 3, 2011 | Ceidz | 24 Comments
UPDATE: Haters gonna hate. Some are calling Hakoom a liar, a hacker, a thief and Rosemary’s baby so he’s taken a bit of a break from trophy hunting to address this “non-issue”.
Earlier this week , I read on IGN a guy named Hakoom actually reached the current maximum level for PSN Trophies, which is level 50 (1%) !
From the above post, “He did so with a staggering 13,604 Trophies (259 Platinum, 1,016 Gold, 3,018 Silver and 9,311 Bronze).”
Canadian Netflix Impressions
September 26, 2010 | Ceidz | 11 CommentsNetflix is an online movies/TV shows store, which allows you to watch instantly (it’s their slogan) movies via online streaming. For a ridiculous monthly fee, you can watch as many movies you want, without any restriction, as long as you stay a registered member. When you register, you get the first month free (a trial), and after it’s $7.99 (CAN)/month to stay registered. My local video store rents movies for $5.99 each! As long as I watch at least 2 movies a month, I save money using Netflix over my local video store!
Netflix is available since last Wednesday in Canada. It is supported natively on the PS3, along with a few other devices: PC, X360, Wii, iPod/iPhone and iPad!
I’ve already watched 3 movies this week and I’m impressed by how fast the movie starts; buffering is, at most, 5 seconds. The image quality is good on a HD television. I guess it’s somewhat a little better than a DVD, but it’s not as good as a BR-disk.
DeathSpank sequel announced! Titled DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue
August 25, 2010 | Ceidz | 4 Comments
When DeathSpank came out on the PSN a few weeks ago, I tried the demo a few moments and immediately bought the game after! I was amazed by both the gameplay and the dialogs, and completed the game (and got all trophies) in under 10 hours. The game was excellent, but a little too short!
I subscribed to HotHead’s newletter (the DeathSpam) and received this email yesterday! A DeathSpank sequel is coming!
