It is time for us to acknowledge the fact that gorgeous, 2D games are NOT the norm on the PSN store and never have been. That IS weird considering that the PS3 is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery capable of giving us great visuals at 60 fps for 3D games and if that power was to be used for a 2D game… well, one can only imagine the results. But fear not as Ratloop (think about it for a second) has heard our concerns and is hard at work on bringing us a bit of chicken to the table.

The year has passed us by quickly, huh? It seems like it was only yesterday when Batman: Arkham City was announced and here we are in the middle of July just waiting until October 18 is finally here so we can enjoy the next chapter in what will hopefully be a trilogy.

Coming to PSN Store in August 2011, Beatshapers and Tatem Games united their forces again to bring the Carnivores: Ice Age, a sequel to popular Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter to PSP and PS3 platforms. It brings 5 huge explorable 3D maps, a variety of prehistoric ice age animals to hunt and a huge weapon palette to choose from.

One of the best Wii games ever is now getting a port over to the PS3 as a retail product with two extra levels, HD visuals, trophies, Move and 3D support and aaaaaaaaaall of the awesome dialogue, feeling and atmosphere that made this a must buy for all Nintendo owners. How soon can Sony console supporters get their hands on this very fun game? October. October 25 to be exact.

What have we gotten ourselves into this time…in time? Head hurts, not-cool-cloud surrounds us and… are we locked up? Great, this is JUST what I needed to start my morning with that little extra “shock” to my system. Now, how exactly am I getting out of here before I go “poof” and it is all over?
Mmm, guess there’s nothing left but for me to rock… and rock hard. Rock and Roll makes everything better. Oh, and it also makes it easier to escape from weird, scientific facilities run by extremely conservative older ladies with a “yes, God, how can I help you?” complex.
