[Vita Review] New Little King’s Story
October 16, 2012 | Eddie | 3 CommentsLittle King’s Story got its start on the Nintendo Wii originally and it gained the attention of at least a niche crowd. Now on the PlayStation Vita, Little King’s Story has been adapted, altered, and rewritten to tell a set of familiar, but somewhat new, tales.
This top down, strategy RPG follows the story of the main protagonist known as King Corobo. After his city was thrown into disarray, King Corobo’s first duty is to re-establish order within what is left of his kingdom by expanding the town, increasing the number of people who live within, and assigning them job duties that can be used to navigate the world, achieve funds, or simply to fight one of the many horrible, yet cuddly, monsters that have taken over the lands.
[PSN Review] Zen Pinball 2 – Plants vs Zombies Table
September 12, 2012 | Eddie | 8 CommentsUnder the shrewd tactical guidance of Dr. Zomboss, Zombies will only invade your garden in waves, save maybe for one or two surprise visitors, Use the peaceful intervals to improve your garden by collecting sun and purchasing defensive plants.
Once an invasion begins, it will be only you and a bunch of your battle-hardened plants against the horde. Defeating zombies is also a great way to improve your income, as you can spend the money dropped by zombies over at Crazy Dave’s Twiddy Dindkies to buy some useful – or at least interesting – items.

[Vita Review] Puddle
August 15, 2012 | Eddie | 4 CommentsPuddle is a puzzle solving game based on liquid physics and obstacles that can destroy said liquid on your way to the final goal. This process is repeated over and over with different liquids and their weaknesses throughout the game, but in some really unique ways. The game seems to translate really well to the portable genre, especially with the multiple input options of the Vita itself. I found myself enjoying the shoulder button method more than the rear touch pad or the tilting of the device itself. The rear touch pad did not seem to work the way that it should, as I found myself swiping several times to get the screen to tilt as I needed it to.
