[PS3 Review] Syndicate

Syndicate is a reboot that nobody seems to have asked for, especially not one that completely changes the genre from an isometric tactical game to first person shooter, rendering it beyond recognisable. Sure, we miss it and would probably welcome an HD remake, but making it virtually incomparable with its former entries? That’s akin to EA digging up your late gran and slapping in a bionic eye and an arm that turns into a tea stirrer so she can make you a cuppa just like you remembered. But is this reboot an improved and welcome revisit or does it add too much milk and not enough sugar? Here’s our review to find out.
