You thought we were gone didn’t you? You thought “I knew there was no way they’d be able to keep going.” Well that’s not the case! As you know we didn’t have a podcast last week, we had a bit of trouble with the people involved: Ace was unfortunately dealing with the aftermath of a hurricane going through his area. He’d lost power and was unable to get online. More importantly FooBear and myself were swamped with work, just kidding Ace! We’re glad you’re fine. So join us this week as we discuss stuff that happened while we were gone, as well as a few new release games.
As always, we want to remind you that the PS3BlogCast is listed on iTunes! So please subscribe and rate/review us there.

Here’s a list of some things we discussed:
Oly will soon have a review for Dead Island (which the lucky quack has been playing for a couple of days now), a game that shaped up into a very fun and compelling experience that Fallout fans let down by New Vegas and Borderlands fans salivating over the sequel will be very happy to have available TOMORROW for purchase!
Some problems are present in the final build that will hit retail tomorrow and, luckily, the developer has been very hands on about it which is why we’ll be getting a day 1 patch that helps bring a smoother playing experience for us all which will reduce the amount of complains that would have been there from those that are happy to exchange their money for some zombie love (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
List of fixes after the break.
Carlos Giffoni, Creative Director over at 345 Games is pleased to announce that their new game, Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon, is now available for purchase at the PSN Store for only $9.99! Let’s see what else he has to say:
For those of you that haven’t been following our development, Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon is a four-player, co-op, dual-analog arcade shooter (think Robotron on crack…with plenty of raving zombies and delinquent man-birds, of course). What’s really fantastic about the game is that we’ve been lucky enough to work extremely closely with the über-talented staff over at the Ugly Americans. All of the voice actors from the show lent their talents to their characters, the writers created a completely new story for the game, and Devin Clark (animator and series creator) came up with all the character design including some insanely twisted end-level bosses. As a result it really feels like you are playing inside an episode of the show, every element from the world of Ugly Americans forms a crucial part of this game experience.
A featured post on OXM UK revealed the achievements for Batman: Arkham City. We all know that achievements are part of the 360 experience but let’s not forget that 99.99% of the time they translate directly into a trophy list for the PS3 version (only exception sometimes being the addition of a Platinum trophy and extra ones not available on the 360 version, as was the case with Limbo).
Take note, as there will be some spoilers ahead!
